Introduction, Mahaprabhu speaks to Bhaṭṭācārya

June 30: Mahaprabhu heard silently from Bhaṭṭācārya for 7 days. Finally Bhaṭṭācārya asked Him as to what He did ask any question during these days. Mahaprabhu now speaks to Bhaṭṭācārya, telling him that although the Vedanta-sutras had a direct meaning, he was actually clouding them with his own meaning. In Srila Prabhupada's words: The Lord thus attacked all Vedāntists who interpret the Vedānta-sūtra fashionably, according to their limited power of thinking, to serve their own purpose. Such indirect interpretations of the authentic literatures like the Vedānta-sūtra are hereby condemned by the Lord.

Prabhuji here also have an example of the Ramayana. It is recommended by our acharya's that we read Sage Valmiki's Ramayana, as it is the authentic text.
