Learning from a Spider...

SB 2.6.40-41 (BG Prji):

* Here Lord Brahmaji is speaking to Narada muni
 - estimation of the Lord is given here
* "The Personality of Godhead is pure, being free from all contaminations of material tinges. He is the Absolute Truth and the embodiment of full and perfect knowledge. He is all-pervading, without beginning or end, and without rival. O Narada, O great sage, the great thinkers can know Him when completely freed from all material hankerings and when sheltered under undisturbed conditions of the senses. Otherwise, by untenable arguments, all is distorted, and the Lord disappears from our sight"
* Once incident in 11th Canto of SB, where Avanti Brahmana mentions 26 Gurus for him
 - one of the source is a spider. Just as from within itself, the spider gets out some web, plays with it and then
takes it back within him. Similarly, the Lord manifests and unmanifests the cosmic universe from within His body
 - We can understand Lord's creation simply like this
 - For one whose eyes are open in KC, transcendental knowledege is available on all sides. Like here, the brahmana is able to see the Lord in the activities of a small spider
* We need the eyes to see the Lord...premanjana churitha bhakti vilochanena...
* Coming to this purport, the impersonalists think that the Lord when He descends also gets a material body
* To understand the Lord, we need to have undisturbed conditions of the senses
* Need to be free from all demands of the senses, to really understand the Lord, even to some extent
* So requirement is to get rid of this sense gratification, both subtle and gross
* To understand the Lord, another condition is mentioned in BG 7.28
 - freed of all dualities of material nature
 - don't travel in two boats at once
* We need to understand the requirements for continuing in our KC life, as SP mentions here
