Curse or boon...

Verse 1.19.14 (Srinivas Acharya Prji):

* Here, out of his great humility, Maharaj Parikshit is explaining that he was too attached to family life and that the Lord out of His causeless mercy, through the brahmana boy's curse, is detaching him from all material life.
* Karma is the only temporary thing, as told in BG.
* Karma can be used in to both ways - destructive and constructive
- Destructive, when we use karma for our own sense gratification
- Constructive, as told in BG, by employing everything in service to Krishna. The one can get out of this material world altogether.
* Eg: Bhishmadeva, cursed in previous life, but now liberated.
Eg: Arjuna also was cursed in the heavenly planets, but it became useful to him later
* When Krishna wants to reclaim his pure devotee, He can do so in any way He likes.
* When a conditioned soul becomes attracted to a pure devotee, then either curse or boon, will help him on his way to become close to Krishna!
* When a devotee takes to the path of KC, then whether curse or boon, will help him on his way to become close to Krishna!
* Here also, a curse is being used by Krishna to bring back MP back home.
* Krishna consciousness or karma yoga with complete surrender of results to Krishna, will bring one finally to bhakti yoga.
* As long as we have some attachment in this material world, Krishna respects that and leaves us back here in the material world.
