Verse 1.9.9 (Padma Mataji):
* The last 3 shlokas talked about the great sages who came to see Bhishmadeva. That itself shows how great Bhishmadeva was.
* On top of all that, he was a great devotee of the Lord Krishna. And Lord Krishna was so very pleased with him.
* Usually, we personally welcome someone visiting us. But here Bhishmadeva was wounded and so unable to move to welcome them. But since he was a learned person, he was able to welcome them using his clear mind very well using good words, directly from the shastras. Here SP tells how we should receive guests.
* For example, SP had the authority to change the number of rounds from 64 to 16, in our parampara. He was not an ordinary person, he was given the authority by his Guru and Krishna, so that he can bring KC into the lives of many. But an ordinary person does not have such authority, so we cannot imitate SP, but only follow him.
* Very imp to follow an authentic parampara and a Guru who is bona fide. It is our fortune that we are present in this wonderful parampara from Sri CM.
