Verses 1.15.18-19 (Srinivas Acharya Prji):
* In today's two verses, Arjuna is remembering his interactions with Krishna and explaining those feelings to Maharaj Yudhistira.
* When the soul is in complete ignorance, it does not know anything about God at all.
* When the soul comes to a better state, it thinks God to be the same as itself, therefore envies the Lord.
* But in these 2 verses, we can see that Arjuna was reproaching Krishna as a his friend and because of the sweet will of the Supreme Lord Himself. That is bringing out the sweetness of these pastimes.
* Here Arjuna is lamenting the loss of Krishna and his wonderful interactions with Him.
* In this material world, we also take happiness in many relationships. But these are all temporary. So the acharya, as an enlightened being, tries to build the relationship between the conditioned soul and Krishna, which is permanent.
* Here, Arjuna is not lamenting the temporary loss, but the loss of direct association with Krishna!
* Pure devotional service is seen by the devotees of the Lord, when their eyes are anointed with love of God. This is exactly what Arjuna is explaining in these 2 pastimes.
* The original love towards Krishna will be manifested in us only when we surrender our false ego at the lotus feet of a bona fide acharya.
* 3 things are required: sincerity, seriousness and having no ulterior motives.
