Verse 1.8.46 (Srinivas Pendyalla Pr):
* In this verse, we see that King Yudishtira was not convinced in spite of being explained by Lord Krishna Himself and Srila Vyasdeva himself that King Yudishtira was not responsible for the massacre of Mahabharata war.
* If Krishna Himself has explained and someone is not peaceful, one should not think that King Yudhistira Maharaj is a normal human being or still has false ego or is exercising his free will. No, he is a pure devotee of the Lord. So here, it is actually Krishna who wants the glories to Sri Bhishma dev to come about, who makes King Yudhistira not convinced.
* The acts of the Lord are so confusing, so we should not do mental speculation. We should accept the interpretations of the acharyas, as they are bona fide.
* Srila Prabhupada explains that Bhismadeva was a pure devotee, one of the mahajans, but due to circumstances he had to take the opposing side of the Lord. So here Krishna wanted to reveal the glories to Bhismadeva, since everything he did was to please the Lord. So for this, he gave the opportunity for Yudhistira Maharaj to be convinced through the words of Bhismadeva.
* This leaves no chance to mental speculators to intrepret Krishna in our own way.
